The long-awaited TOP GUN: MAVERICK hits the big screen this Memorial Day weekend at the Midway! (See this HUGE premiere here first, during a THURSDAY EVENING PREVIEW double feature.) There is already serious buzz for this high-flying blockbuster, with critical consensus at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes - They're saying it's even better than the original. SONIC 2 with Jim Carrey has a 96% audience rating. And THE LOST CITY is an adventure/comedy/romance starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.

The Midway was the first drive-in theatre in the world to offer open-captioning for folks who are deaf, hard of hearing, or who just enjoy learning more about the plot and characters and not missing any dialogue. It even helps enrich reading comprehension for the kids. The regular soundtrack also plays. It's a SUNDAY NIGHT tradition that the late Big John Nagelschmidt began ten years ago. For this weekend we will NOT be showing open-captions, BUT for the 2nd Sunday with the same three movies we WILL have open-captions. And we'll have open-captions on Sunday nights for the remainder of the season.
